GLOW Attended the Princess Audience to Respectfully Present Summary Report of the Solar Dryer Project in Bo Kluea District, Nan Province

On 14 May 2019, GLOW Group, led by Mr. Pajongwit Pongsivapai - Chief Executive Officer, together with Dr. Phongsakarn Tharnseemee - Renewable Energy Innovation Advisor of Silpakorn University, was granted permission to attend an audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to respectfully present a summary report of the Solar Dryer Project at Bo Kluea School, Bo Kluea District, Nan Province. This project, in which GLOW installed two greehouse solar dryers or parabola domes at Baan Houay Kab and Baan Sawa School, is part of the royal initiated project which aims at restoring forest by growing crops that can create economic benefits for local people. This greenhouse solar drying system is suitable for drying agricultural products for commercial purpose from the community enterprise level to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Both solar dryers will not only solve a problem of coffee bean drying during rainy season, by reducing drying duration from 15 days to 3-5 days, but also generate income for local people throughout the year through future development of other dried agricultural products, which is the most effective and sustainable way to utilize the solar dryers.
