 Plant Overview

 Glow Phase 3&4 - Hybrid Cogeneration Plant was jointly developed and operated by Glow SPP2 Co., Ltd., Glow SPP3 Co., Ltd., Glow Energy Public Co., Ltd. and GHECO – One Co., Ltd.
The group adopted the new "Hybrid" technology in the development and construction of this plant. Hybrid cogeneration is fuel-flexible, utilizing both natural gas and high quality, "clean" bituminous coal, which mainly imported from Indonesia; this effectively guarantees adequate fuel supply at all time. Infrastructure facilities include a seawater cooling system, a GIS substation, power distribution network, steam and water distribution network, coal handling facility, ash handling facility, coal harbor, and administration building. It began full operation since March 1999 to supply electricity, steam and water to industrial customers and supply 300 MW of electricity to EGAT under SPP scheme.
In addition, there are also two expansion projects, which are currently under construction as follows :
- A 660 MW highly efficient bituminous coal-fired power plant, namely GHECO-One Project.
- A 382 MWeq gas-fired cogeneration plant by Glow Energy Public Company Limited
