Glow Energy Phase 2 is the first power plant of Glow Group which has been certified by The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) as Eco-Factory. Mr. Pajongwit Pongsivapai, Executive Vice President - Business Development, has represented Glow in the certificate presentation ceremony which was held on 1 October 2015 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC). To be certified as Eco-Factory, the plant must first pass basic criteria, i.e. being Green Industry Mark Level 3 (GI 3) or ISO 14001-certified and receiving no environmental complaints in the past year, and then 14 Eco-Factory criteria.
An Eco-Factory is a factory that commits to an environmental-friendly operation with an aim for sustainable development. It focuses on continuous and sustainable improvement of production process and environmental management based on social responsibility principle both inside and outside the organization including its supply chain. All founding members of the Community Partnership Association (CPA), including Glow, have committed to the Eco Factory project. In 2016-2017, Glow aims to have 7 more power plants certified in the project.
